Happy Birthday Diamond Dental Care

We celebrated our 3rd birthday here at Diamond Dental Care last week, and we feel that we have something to celebrate! Over the past three years, we’ve seen thousands of patients; some of which came in needing help urgently with painful teeth. Some came in for dental check-ups (which we recommend every six months), and some came in to discuss getting the smile they’ve always wanted. That’s what we would like to discuss now;

As well as seeing NHS patients and offering general dentistry, we also offer cosmetic dentistry where you can achieve the smile you’ve always dreamed of. Here are just some of the things we offer:-

Teeth Whitening

Were you aware that the General Dental Council, the organisation that regulates dental professionals in the UK, considers that tooth whitening is a form of dentistry? This means that only dental professionals can legally carry out teeth whitening. We offer teeth whitening and would be happy to discuss your options further.

Adult Orthodontics

Do you sometimes feel embarrassed by your smile? Millions of adults are self-conscious about their smile due to crooked, wonky or buck teeth. They don’t want to wear the metal ‘train track’ braces of old, but fear not, there are so many teeth straightening products on the market these days, and many of them are virtually invisible, so people won’t even know you are wearing braces.

At our practice, we offer The Six Month Smiles™ and Quick Straight Teeth™ techniques. They move your teeth quickly and safely. Both are invisible braces systems, which use only clear braces (brackets) and tooth-coloured wires, making the clear braces virtually invisible in the mouth. Both systems usually take around six months to work, depending on the teeth in question. The difference is that Quick Straight Teeth™ concentrates on the front 6-8 teeth. Call us today for a consultation and to work out what system is right for you.

Facial Rejuvenation

Botox

Botox or Botulinum toxin as it is officially known is a natural, purified protein that is used to temporarily relax facial muscles that cause lines and wrinkles so it can reduce the appearance of these lines and wrinkles. It can also be used to treat medical conditions such as hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). It is seen as a safe product and is certified in the medical field. The effects of the treatment can vary from person to person but generally last around 3 to 6 months.

Fillers

As we age, the natural collagen, elastin and Hyaluronic Acid in our skin decreases and this means our skin is less supported, gets thinner, dryer and more wrinkled and is less able to renew itself. The treatment of wrinkles with dermal filler will usually involve injecting this naturally occurring Hyaluronic Acid through a tiny needle. It usually takes around 30-45 minutes and can last from between 18 to 24 months.

So, are you feeling a little washed out after a wet winter? If you wish to improve the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, replace lost volume or enhance your lip line, call our team today for a consultation with our facial aesthetics practitioner, Miss Tara Diamond.
